Bumbo Time

Today was a fun day.  First, Samantha asked if she could wear her clash onesie from Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Rachel.  She is getting so big so fast and wants to wear it again and again before she grows out of it.  She also worked on sitting using her Bumbo today.  Here is a video of her sitting in her Bumbo and talking to some friends - you even get a chance to meet her friends...check it out!

We also went to Buy Buy Baby.  Samantha loves to stand so we bought her a Jumperoo today.  She already LOVES standing and playing in it.  I promise you will see a video of her in action soon!

Tummy Time and New Friends

Later in the day Samantha wanted to go out to Barnes and Noble for story time.  Her friend Tessa was going to be there.  So...we drove to White Plains and met Tessa.  Tessa introduced us to her friends Aiden and Bennett.  Here is a video of all of them having fun after story time was over...

Samantha's First Hurricane

Samantha made it through her first hurricane.  Yesterday was a very exciting day.  She laughed for mommy and daddy for the first time.  It was music to our ears and soooo cute.  She also slept through the night quite well - from 11:30pm - 8:30am.  That is a record 9 hours!!

We were inside all day yesterday and found time to make two videos.  The first one is from the morning.  She made a mess of her pajamas so we put a new outfit on and she wanted to show it off.  We call this video "Mommy's Little Monkey".

This video is from later in the day.  She has been in a very good mood all weekend.  Usually she likes to do a sneeze and smile.  This video is her first "Yawn and Smile" - enjoy!!  

6 Ounces

Samantha had a big day today.  She ate 6 ounces for the first time.  I don't often bottle feed her so it is hard to know the exact amount she gets each feeding.  This morning I pumped a lot and she just kept on eating!  Then we went for a walk in the Ergo baby carrier to the clubhouse and like clockwork she fell asleep.  Here is a picture of her asleep in her swing after our walk.  We have another play date this afternoon with Tessa so she wants to be well rested.  There are two more pictures of her from earlier this week hanging out on the couch.  She is getting so big!

Earthquake and Smiles

Samantha slept through the night last night.  The full eight hours of sleep made for a good start to a very eventful day.  I took Samantha out to get bagels and to buy a few things at CVS.  It was the first time I used the Ergo baby carrier.  It was so successful that I will be using the carrier for all trips.  She observed everything at the bagel store and then she fell asleep while I was shopping at CVS.  She slept the entire car ride home.  Next, we saw Grandma Michele and Aunt Melody and went for a nice long walk on this beautiful day.  Then an Earthquake hit Virginia.  We didn't feel it here, but Daddy came home early and we made this smiley video...

Samantha's First Trip to the Supermarket

Samantha went to bed early for the first time last night.  Early is before 11pm, she actually fell asleep around 10pm and only woke up once in the middle of the night.  Then she woke up this morning before Daddy left for work at 8am.

We got an early start and ran some errands.  This video was taken after we got home from our errands and her first trip to the supermarket.  (Only the best for Samantha - we went to the Greenwich Whole Foods.)  She is wearing a heart bib because she just ate.  You will also notice that she has started holding on to her blanket...

She was in a good mood so I couldn't resist making one more video.  Here she is smiling at her favorite toy, Mr. Panda.  She is laying down on her changing table downstairs.  You can also see the dress she wore today that was covered up by the blanket in the first video.  Enjoy!

Opening Blog - Fish Onesie Video

This is my first blog and my very first blog entry.  I have created this blog to make sure family and friends have access to pictures and videos of Samantha.  We have enjoyed watching every little moment the past two months and want to make sure you can, too!  (The postings that appear prior to this blog are in age order for Samantha, but I added them after the fact :-))

This video was created last weekend (7/31).  Samantha had some thoughts on the Debt Ceiling Crisis.  She chose to wear her fish onesie in this video.

Today we had a playdate with Samantha's friend Tessa who lives less than 10 minutes away.  This is a picture of Samantha at Tessa's house.  She had a really fun time at her first playdate.
