Clap Hands

The last week in December Samantha learned how to clap.  In this short video she shows off her talent for Daddy...

Then on New Year's Day she showed off her clapping talent with Mommy, Grandma and Grandpa during the Giants game.  She was so excited the Giants made the playoffs!

A GIANT Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve day we went to a Giants/Jets football party and Samantha dressed the part!  Then we went to Christmas Eve at Aunt Fern's house.  There was a no time for an outfit change.  This is a really quick video of Samantha and her new present.  We just needed to remember her first Christmas Eve, a GIANT win and her Eli jersey with her flower jeans, what a combo!

Today we had a big day.  First Samantha went to visit her friend Ethan at his apartment in manhattan.  Samantha played on Ethan's mat and they both shared their toys.  Then we went to cousin Joey's Birthday party.  Samantha is so lucky to have friends and family close by and close to her age!

Samantha goes to the GYM

Today we went to a trial class with Samantha's friend Mason.  It was at "My Gym" in Mamaroneck and this class is called "Tiny Tykes".  Samantha had a lot of fun and mommy got some great pictures, see for yourself!

She stayed on by herself just long enough for mommy to snap a picture!

So much fun!!

First time in a swing! You can't tell by her facial expression, but she loved it!

Happy Half Birthday!!

It's Samantha's half birthday!!  I have posted a picture from each month to see her grow.  When she was born she weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 19 inches.  At her 6 month check-up she weighed 14 pounds and 15 ounces and measured 25 and 1/4 inches.  Our little girl is getting so big!

My Baby Girl Can Sit Up!

We went to the Tarrytown Library this morning to participate in a program called "Bouncing Babies".  They tell moms to park their strollers and bounce on in!  So we did :-)  Samantha didn't seem happy sitting on my lap so I sat her up on the carpet and she did something amazing - she sat up all by herself!  Before bed she did it again, she isn't sturdy yet, but she is on her way...take a look!

Beautiful Day for a Baby Naming

Samantha's Naming was so special to us.  So many people we love were in one room and our Rabbi led a beautiful service for our baby girl.  What a happy day for Shoshana Leah!

Thank you Adam for capturing the love and happiness in this picture :-)

Walking to Mommy

Samantha is walking, well she needs a little help, but she is trying...  I think she looks like a gymnast in this outfit...

Solid Food Beginnings

Samantha ate solid food for the first time today!!  We started with Brown Rice.

Here is a look at how Samantha has progressed after only a few weeks.  This video was taken on Halloween.  She now LOVES to eat and even makes noise while she eats her oatmeal.  Daddy is feeding her in this video...

Someone Found Her FEET

We saw Samantha's friend Tess grab her feet last time she came over for a playdate so we couldn't wait for Samantha to reach this milestone.  It was close to bedtime and she was laying on her favorite green rain forest mat and here she goes!

Shana Tova

Samantha went to synagogue and heard the shofar for the first time on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.  After services we went back to my parents house to relax.  Here is Samantha all dressed up playing and dancing with Daddy...

Later in the night Samantha changed into her monkey pajamas and hung out with the family...

Some Pictures to enjoy from the high holidays...

Tongue in, Tongue out

When Samantha was born we called her "eyes open, eyes closed Samantha".  We actually sang it out loud to her and it had a nice ring to it.  She has always been very alert and is very expressive with her eyes.  This week she found something new, her Tongue.  It is clear in this video from last night why we have now started to call her Tongue in, Tongue out Samantha!

Many of our friends and family know that two days after Samantha was born she needed medicine.  We have been giving it to her ever since.  The past 25 days we have slowly weened her off the medicine and continue to watch her carefully.  Today was the last day of her scheduled weening off period.  Samantha posed in front of her last dose.

She is too busy watching Daddy eat dinner to look at the camera

We love her sooo much and are so thankful she is doing so well - here are some pictures to show a very happy Samantha :-)

Since she wouldn't look in my direction I moved in between her and Daddy

Now she is ready for the photo shoot

Again with that Tongue!
